My Life My Dreams
The My Life My Dreams program aims to plant the seed of change and empower local women to look at their lives and acknowledge their strengths and skills as they move towards their hopes and dreams. By looking at health, education, relationships and financial understanding these women will be empowered to believe that they have choices and will have increased knowledge and the confidence to move forward.

Upon graduation from the My Life My Dreams Program, participants will:
  1. Understand the factors that have influenced who they are and build on their strengths and skills;
  2. Begin to come to terms with things that have happened to them and start to understand what they can change and what they canít;
  3. Learn about the options that are available to them through exploration of education, health and wellbeing, financial understanding, families and relationships;
  4. Gain the knowledge, confidence and experience to use community infrastructure and seek information and support when needed;
  5. Receive valuable information and meet representatives that will link them to local organisations such as TAFE, YWCA NSW, Health Services, Tenant Advocacy Services and Counselling Services; and
  6. Produce art and photography projects that will teach them new skills, increase their confidence, explore their lives and dreams and provide them with mementos from the course.
HCC aims to offer this program once a year but this is dependent on funding.
