Mobile Phones for Seniors
Mobile phone classes for seniors have been hugely popular since they started in 2010, with more than 100 seniors participating each year. Originally funded through a grant from Telstra, the classes are now based on manuals we have designed ourselves and are funded by NSW Family and Community Services. This year we have also widened the range of courses by providing three different options.

  1. An IPad Courses to help seniors learn to use their IPad.The course consists of three X two hour sessions

  2. The Basic Phone Course is for people who own a basic, older style phone. The course consists of 3 X two hour sessions.

  3. The Smart Phone Course is for people who have an iphone or similar phone that is operated by touching or swiping the screen and has internet capabilities. The course consists of 3 X two hour sessions.
The Basic and Smart Phone Courses go into more detail about the functionality of your phone. You will learn to make and receive calls, how to text, how to set up contacts and lots more.

All workshops and courses cost only $10 and participants must commit to the full course. Courses are usually run from January to June. Bookings are essential. Manuals are provided so you have a great reference to keep.
