Legal Aid NSW provides legal services to disadvantaged clients across NSW in most areas of criminal, family and civil law. Legal Aid can provide you with free confidential face to face legal advice on most legal issues, legal representation for eligible clients, family dispute resolution services, workshops about the law, legal information in plain English and specialist services for particular groups in the community. - Argyle Housing
Argyle Community Housing's main objective is to provide and manage secure, sustainable housing for people on low to moderate incomes who would otherwise struggle to find somewhere to live. - Financial Counselling
Lifeline provide a financial counselling service to the Southern Highlands at the Highlands Community Centre (Stafford Cottage, 22 Bendooley St, Bowral) each Tuesday. Financial Counselling is provided free of charge and assists those under financial stress to develop a budget, consolidate debts and to learn skills to better manage their finances. - Family Law
Legal Aid's Family Law Early Intervention Unit provides a service in the Southern Highlands. Free Family Law advice is given at Moss Vale Local Court (Argyle St, Moss Vale) on Tuesday mornings twice a month (9:20am - 12:00pm) and at Highlands Community Centre (Stafford Cottage, 22 Bendooley St, Bowral) on Tuesday afternoons twice a month (2:00pm - 4:00pm). - Justice of the Peace
There are various places where you can access a Justice of the Peace. Five days per week you can go to Pru Goward's office or on a Tuesday - Community Health (ask for Liz Webb), Wednesday - Springetts Arcade (10:00am - 1:00pm), Thursday - IGA, Moss Vale (10:00am - 1:00pm), Friday & Saturday - Mittagong Marketplace (10:00am - 1:00pm).

The Wingecarribee Family Support Services (WFSS) provides help to families and carers who have full or part-time care of a child.
