The No Interest Loans Scheme (NILS) provides people on low incomes access to safe, fair and affordable access to credit. The scheme offers loans of up to $1500 for essential goods & services. Repayments are set up over 12 – 18 months and there are no interest charges or fees.
Loans cannot be used for cash or debts.
You can use NILS to buy a broad range of items such as:
• Essential household items including fridges, washing machines, computers, furniture etc.
• Health items such as wheelchairs, asthma pumps etc.
• Registration and car repairs.
• Training Courses
