My Life My Dreams

My Life My Dreams

My Life My Dreams is an empowerment program for women. Over 15 weeks women will make positive changes in their lives by learning skills that will enhance their wellbeing and give them a sense of mastery over their lives.

This program is for women aged 18 years and over that aren’t currently working. My Life My Dreams is for women that want to commit to change but aren’t sure how or what to do next. Ideally, women should have children aged 0-18 years old.

The program focuses on:

    • Health & Wellbeing: healthy eating, relaxation techniques, gentle exercise, creativity & self-care
  • Personal Development: cultivating gratitude, improving self-esteem, assertive communication and creating new habits
    • Building Resilience: understanding grief & loss, families & relationships, overcoming adversity and seeking help
  • Life & Work Skills: Certificate I in Business and IT, preparing for the workforce, volunteering & financial skills

Local agencies, organisations and businesses contribute to delivering the program and sessions are given by presenters that have a wealth of knowledge and expertise in their fields.   Breaking down social isolation is an important aspect of the program and women draw a lot of support from the others in the group as well as learning what services are available in the community for help.

My Life My Dreams uses evidence-based practices and a strengths-based approach that is life-enhancing. Women are encouraged and supported to grow and learn with the aim of being their best version of themselves. Outcomes from the program are excellent with women going onto paid work, volunteering or further study. By the end of the program, women report feeling happier and more confident with increased self-esteem, they experience improved relationships with family and friends. My Life My Dreams is truly life-changing and creates the foundation for women to start moving towards fulfilling their dreams.
